Routes and Constraints
Complex Routes
Jobs may be linked together to make up complex Routes. These end-beginning relations between jobs make it possible, for example, to ensure that a job will not start before the end of a previous job.
With each link, it is possible to associate:
- Either an offset duration. This is the minimum time required between the end of the first job and the beginning of the second job (transport time, drying time, etc...).
- Or an overlap duration. In this case, the second job can start before the first job is completed.
Time Constraints
For each job, an earliest start and latest end dates can be imposed.
These time constraints will play a major role in planning and scheduling.
Alerts
Alert banners may be automatically displayed if:
- the job starts too early.
- the job is late.
- the job may be late (ends at a time date close to the latest end date).
Transition times
Transition times are lapses of time between two jobs intended to perform certain adjustments, installation or machine preparation (resources).
A transit time will be added automatically when changing a technical element between two consecutive jobs. A matrix setting up resources and technical items is used to define the values of these transit times.
The transit time is illustrated by a triangle between the jobs involved.
